I updated my site from PHP 7.0 to PHP 7.1 and the plugin stopped adding the suscribers (and hence sending the confirmation email).

The problem reverted when I rolled back to 7.0.

I hope you can solve the problem.

BTW: Mailpoet 2 (which I still use on one of my sites) works fine on PHP 7.1.

    Hey Nahuai,

I’ve just checked this out on a test install, first I installed WordPress and MailPoet on a server running PHP 7.1, then PHP 7.2 and finally PHP 7.0 and in each instance it correctly added the subcriber.

Could you go to your wp-admin > MailPoet > Help and copy and paste the contents of that box in a reply?

    Thanks!

    Hi Nahuai!

Thanks for the additional information. Everything looks good with that, no strange setup rules. I replicated the same setup and it worked fine.

I’m intrigued why 7.1 doesn’t work for you and works for me. I wonder if there’s another conflict happening somewhere on the site preventing it from working.

Are you familiar with using Chrome Developer tools? If you are, open up the inspector and then enter an email and hit subscribe on the form, you see an XHR request and a response. Can you paste the response back?

If you aren’t sure about the above and are happy to link me to the site, I can further debug on the page itself. ??

    Thanks!

    Sorry for the delay.
After the last updates it seems to work fine.

    Thanks for the help!
