    Be careful before purchasing this. If you use any filtering in your store, specifically a filter for items on sale, you are in for a bad time.

    I used Yith Ajax Product Filter, and they, like almost all filtering plugins, filter based on the value from back-end. If a product is set to have a discount/be on sale back-end, it is going to show with the filter for sale products.

    Flycarts Discount Rules however, does not apply discounts/sale to the back-end, but rather “dynamically” as they described it. I am pasting below, the answer I got from their support:

    “Discount Rules for Woocommerce plugin does not update the prices in the backend (Sale price for discounts).
    Our plugin applies discount on the fly dynamically while adding the product to cart. However, it doesn’t change the price in the back-end.

    The plugin, you are using to filter products (YITH filter) might take the price only from the backend. So, the discounted products will not be reflected while filtering.”

    Just a heads up so that you don’t do the same mistake as me ??

    We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. As we mentioned in our replies, our plugin does not currently offer integration with the YITH filter plugin.

    However, we do have a solution for getting discounted prices for products. You can find more information in our developer documentation, specifically in the section titled “To get discount price of a product”: https://docs.flycart.org/en/articles/7907342-developer-documentation

    We recommend checking with the filter plugin you are using to see how you can implement this in your site to filter discounted products.

    Hi again,

    The reasons for purchase was 1) low coding knowledge, and 2) saving time.

    If I had the 1) coding knowledge, and 2) time, I could’ve done it myself. And then I certainly wouldn’t get the discount data “dynamically on the fly” since that is just bad practice working around the fundamentals and a core feature of WooCommerce.

    Yith Ajax Filter is by far the most common filter for Woo, and all the “major” filter/search plugin authors are fetching the data from back-end, because there are simply no good reason to do it any other way.

    The support ticket I opened made it very clear that “it is not our fault please check with the other plugin authors to fix it”. Giving me directions on how to achieve what I want is like giving a blind man directions to drive his car from A to B; I hear what you say but I the information is useless to me.

    Aaaand, you probably know that my purchase has passed those 14 days, since this refund was never mentioned in the email correspondence that took place within those 14 days.

    I am firm on my opinion: don’t go with this plugin if you are using a filter to sort for sale/discount products. You will be disappointed.
