  • Hey there, @fotske! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

The plugin does use the Legacy REST API. However, we’re actively working on updates to ensure compatibility with the latest changes announced by WooCommerce regarding the Legacy REST API moving to a dedicated extension in WooCommerce 9.0.

We strive to keep the plugin updated and compatible with the latest standards and features provided by WooCommerce. Rest assured, the team is on it to ensure a seamless transition and continued functionality for our users.

If you have any specific concerns or need further details about this transition or how it might impact your usage of our plugin, please feel free to let us know. We’re here to help and clarify any questions you might have!

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi,

Would it be possible to ask the developers of your plugin to make a new version of the plugin that is compatible with the new API so that we can get rid of the?Legacy REST API? The goal is to abandon this Legacy REST API and to move to the one.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi there @fotske ??

Does your plugin uses the Legacy REST API?

Just to clarify, the short answer is: no.

The Facebook for WooCommerce extension uses a feed file to sync products to Facebook, and there’s no communication from Facebook to it that’d require API.

In other words, the WooCommerce store communicates with Facebook’s API and not the other way around.

Feel free to check that Facebook for WooCommerce is still working, with the legacy API disabled on your store — meaning it doesn’t use it.

To check if the Legacy REST API is enabled, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Legacy API. The “Enable the legacy REST API” box below being checked means that the Legacy REST API is enabled.

If the legacy API is enabled and in use, it’s likely for something else, as Facebook for WooCommerce doesn’t require it.

I trust this provides clarity. Kindly dismiss the information provided earlier. Thank you.
