    Hi

Does your plugin create a directory in uploads called ig-logs ?

I’m trying to figure out an issue and to figure out which plugin relates to a directory in Uploads called ig-logs. Seems to have a dodgy file in here, but until I can figure out which plugin it links to I don’t know who to ask the question to.

I’ve asked Wocommerce, not part of theirs.

It seems to be part of yours? There seems to be some dodgy files in the logs area AND a htaccess file also which doesn’t look right.

Usually a htaccess file is NOT in the sub directories but usually added when infected by malware.

So therefore I need to know whether to REMOVE ALL the contents in here please?

Will I lose any information with regards to email templates etc if we delete the ig-logs content?

    Please advise urgently.

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi @kristinubute,

Thank you for getting in touch; we’re delighted to assist you.

The files within the ig-logs folder are generated by Express plugins. However, the htaccess file is specifically created by the Express plugin to restrict public access to the ig-logs folder. Could you please confirm that the rules inside the htaccess file are set to “deny from all”?

Additionally, could you provide a list of file extensions currently present in the folder? Ideally, only .log files and index.html files should be found in the directory. Please inform us if any unfamiliar or suspicious files are present.

Regarding your request to remove all content, you can safely delete files with .log extensions. This action won’t impact email sending or email templates. However, please avoid deleting the .htaccess file, as this could make the ig-logs folder publicly accessible. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to let us know.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your reply.

Apologies what is an Express plugin please? I’m not understanding.

So it is part of your plugin ?

Yes the htaccess file says “deny from all” so I leave that in there yes?

    Hi @kristinubute,

Yes, you are correct. When referring to the Express plugin, it means the Icegram Express Plugin.
