    Hi

I’m using your plugin alongside WP Gridbuilder which they recommended to use your plugin for the Taxonomies in the WordPress Media section.

I have created a Gallery (1 page) that within the WP GridBuilder the user will be clicking on filters to view relevant photos in the gallery based on the filter ticked.

They recommended using your plugin for the Taxonomies which I have set up and linked to Media files.

Therefore currently I have set up these fields/Taxonomies in the Media section :

    Canopy Colours:
    Canopy Sizes:
    Installation Locations:
    Categories:

Basically then using your plugin I was able to create these Taxonomies above (I hope I am using the terminology correctly as still learning about the Taxonomies terminology) …

Therefore then I enter in the content of these taxonomies in the MEDIA SECTION where it has added these in:

Canopy Colours: Beige, Green, Yellow, Red
Canopy Sizes: 3.5m Octagonal, 4.0m Square
Installation Location: Patio, Other, Timber Deck
Categories: SU2, SU3, Cafe Umbrella, Cantilever

My main question is, as I have many Media files to ADD these Colours & Sizes, and Categories to, is there an easy way rather than just retype them again and again or copy and paste on each Media, is there a way in your plugin, that it can auto remember when you start typing …

Example: If I had started typing in Categories: Cant (then it would auto pick up that I already had put in Cantilever in there previously) ?

The reason WHY I am asking, is that as I have over 50 photos to upload and ADD taxonomies to and Colours, Sizing and Categories, then you can easily make a mistake, do typo and have several different terms for the same that you meant to type, but did a typo.

Like in WordPress tags, where it remember part of a word that you have had previously and picks it up as a choice.
Is this possible in your plugin at all? Maybe there is a setting that I am not aware of in your plugin ?

If you could help and advise would be great.

I’m just trying to make life easier for the WEbsite client, as they have many things to add in the taxonomies/terms for each photos in the MEDIA section taxonomy area.

    Thanks
    Kristin

For instance, we have typed in
    School/Daycare
    and School/Day Care

Therefore this comes up as 2 separate terms/taxonomies where it should be the same, but we couldn’t remember whether we did daycare as 1 word or 2.
Therefore the auto correct/ auto pickup when starting to type, would be beneficial.

    Thanks

I think the wording you’re wanting is autosuggest and that’s not something we’ve added to the plugin in some way because that’s something that just happens with WordPress core already. After about 3 characters, it should start recognizing existing terms that have already been created that you can then select and assign.

One idea to help with this would be to review your current terms list and see if there’s some that are close but not exact matches, and consolidate posts into using the desired term and then delete the one that no longer has posts associated. That one would then no longer be available in autosuggest triggers.
