• Do I have a complete list for Settings, Discussion? I don’t see a check box for Allow Comments (or not). Shouldn’t there be one?

We need to disallow comments, but a Leave A Reply box is on every page no matter what I do in Settings, Discussion.

I have no Allow Comments control on the Add/Edit Page/Post controls page. I’ve deactivated every plug in, tried the Twenty Ten theme…

I unchecked everything under Settings, Discussion at one point, and the Leave A Reply boxes went away, but they came back.

Is my list the same as yours?:

Allow people to post comments on new articles.

It IS there. But it’s UNchecked, and the Leave A Reply box doesn’t go away.
