I installed the free plugin. The plugin produced a sitemap with links to pages, posts, category and to a link called : layout_tag-sitemap.xml . The content is about lay_out tags divers/footers. I can’t relate it to a Yoast setting. Can someone tell if this done by Yoast plugin?

@wesleyj It sounds like you want to remove/hide layout_tag-sitemap.xml from the sitemap index. Can you please go to Yoast SEO > Settings > Categories and Tags >> and within the settings find the relevant tag and toggle to disable it?

I can’t find these settings. There is no menu option for toggling this off.

    Edit:

I would also like to report a bug in Yoast in the backend panel. In this option Categorie & Tags I have 2 times the same submenu option called: categories. For another site I have even 3 times the option submenu categorie. Am I the only one who has this bug?

    Hey @wesleyj,

    Thank you for your reply.

They are layouts from your Divi theme. “Tags” should be listed under the page Suwash had linked to. A direct link should be:

    yourdomain.tld/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpseo_page_settings#/taxonomy/layout_tag

On that page, make sure to have the first toggle “Show tags in search results” disabled, this should disable the sitemap.

Yes. I solved this with your link.

Great! We’ll mark the topic as resolved. Have a great day!
