• Before I move over I was wondering if I need to or should create my static pages or if wordpress will import them. (Coming from Blogger)

I read the codex, but it only mentions the posts being imported.

  • Not 100% sure but when moving from one WordPress blog to another, it imports everything, posts and pages, but I believe when importing from another provider, like Blogger, it will only import your posts and comments. So you’ll need to manually create any pages you have.

But you can try it and see if it works. If it doesn’t import the pages, you can then easily create them after you’ve imported the posts.

It should, but be aware that blogger’s notoriously dumb about EXPORTING.

You may need to import your blog (temporarily) to a wordpress.com one, and then from .com to your .org site.

Thank you both. I didn’t know about the Blogger issue. I may do just what you suggest to avoid headaches. An extra step is worth it is if it makes things smoother.
