Does woocommerce needs "admin-ajax.php" file to work normally?

    Like I worte in the title, I’d like to know, please, if I can disable “admin-ajax.php” file with something like:

    <files admin-ajax.php>
    order allow,deny
    deny from all
    </files>

    And stil having woocommerce to work normally, or does the plugin needs that file to work.
