Does what I want, when it works.
-
This is exactly the plug-in I have been looking for. It’s a Gutenberg block where I can add a link and it pulls in a summary and picture. Then it puts it in a box that links back.
However, when you add it as just a block it doesn’t do anything. The way I’ve gotten it to work is to insert a “classic” block, then use click on the icon in the editor within the block. When you paste the URL nothing happens at first. If you toggle between internal and external link it’ll refresh and do what is expected.
Despite the quirks, it’s the only one I’ve found that does what I’m looking for and isn’t larded up with too many features.
It produces a simple and attractive result.
I’ll keep using it and look forward to improvements in the future. Maybe some of it has to do with Gutenberg being so new.
Thanks for making this plug-in
