Does What I Needed
-
I was testing out WP Forms Lite, and then upgraded to WP Forms Basic in order to get the conditional logic capability. Then I got another plugin to allow me to style my WP Forms forms. I then started thinking about Login/Registration forms, MailChimp integration, and a couple of additional field types that I might need later and found that WP Forms has them behind their Pro version pay wall at a whopping $300/year. Forminator gives me all those things in its free version, so buh-bye WP Forms. All the reviews rave about WP Forms, especially WP Beginner (go figyuh), but for my money ($0) Forminator does the things I need better, and who can argue with the price?
WPFORMS PLEASE NOTE – I did all this inside your 14-day money back guarantee window, so refund please. Also rest assured I turned off automatic annual renewal that WP Forms put onto my PayPal account without so much as a “by your leave” quicker than you can say Rack Jobinson.
Forminator has a nice built-in styler too. It doesn’t give “live feedback” like some of the other form stylers out there, but is does work. I like the fact that you can create and save custom styling presets for your forms, and then bulk apply those styles to new forms with a single click. That saves a lot of time.
NOTE – I did run into an issue with a dropdown selection on my first Forminator contact form not displaying properly in a Popup Maker popup, but a quick search of the Forminator support forum in WordPress identified the issue, and gave me the custom CSS I needed to add to make the form work properly. The Forminator support forum community seems like a very effective one so far. Glad to be on board.
