Does WF scan files uploaded to a server?

    Hi Guys,

    We’re using Gravity Forms with an upload function, it’s possible to upload malware, they have no solution for this.

    Does WF scan files as they are uploaded?

    Hi @jane-blonde, thanks for your query.

    The firewall does scan files uploads for malicious code. In Wordfence > All Options > Advanced Firewall Options > Rules you will see these generic firewall rules:

    Malicious File Upload
    Malicious File Upload (Patterns)
    Malicious File Upload (PHP)

    You will also see custom firewall rules for themes and plugins too under the same file_upload category.
