• I’ve been digging into the WP filtering process lately. I know about the kses filtering and I’ve looked through the code.

But I’m wondering if simply adding/using the tinyMCE WYSIWYG editor on a WP form changes the filtering process as a result of simply enqueueing the script or adding the action.

The reason I ask is that if you take a look at the Rich Text Biography plugin, it adds the tinyMCE editor to the user bio form, but in doing so it also seems to change the filtering. For example after I activate the plugin, I can use HTML that (ul/li, etc.) that I can’t use on the normal bio form. YET, I see no obvious indication in the plugin code that the original filter is removed or manipulated.

It’s a not a make-or-break situation, but I’m just trying to get a good grasp of the ins and outs of the WP form filtering process. If anyone’s bored and wants to respond, awesome. ??

    Thanks.
