Does title remain?

  • It’s very hard to say what’s happened, but my guess would be the coding of the widget.

    If you use it in a default theme, with a default (core-provided) widget – do you get the same experience or does it work as expected?

    But to answer the question of “Does title remain?” No – the title should not remain (that would be pretty silly behavior)
