Well, to be specific, PayPal Standard is what comes with WooCommerce by default. It’s simple and limited in functionality.
Our plugin replaces PayPal Standard with Express Checkout, and this provides a lot more features and options for a better checkout experience and increased conversion rates. This does not require Pro, so any “standard” PayPal account will work just fine for this.
PayPal Pro would then add direct credit card processing capabilities to the WC checkout page. That is typically $30/mo to get added, but I may be able to get you a Pro account with the monthly fee waived. You can contact me directly for more details on that.
