Google Analytics is recommending we upgrade to GA4 properties, so I’ve done that and added the new code (still tracking the old Universal Analytics too). The GA4 property is “cloned” from the old UA property so it should have access to any Ivory Search settings, but I don’t know exactly how Google handled the auto migration process.

Do I need to change any settings in the new property? Are GA4 properties compatible with Ivory Search analytics yet? (GA4 is beta, so I understand if it’s not supported yet.)

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

I have not tested it with the GA4 yet but I think it will work and there is no setting to configure so you don’t have to change anything.

    Best regards,

Thanks. I’ll keep an eye on it and track both for now.

You are most welcome here :

Hey guys, wanted to see if either of you have dealt with tracking e-commerce transactions with the new GA4 property. I have been having a lot of trouble trying to get this to work and I even had a google tech try to set it up and they also failed. Any suggestions?

@jpattwell – I haven’t tried that, but it seems like GA4 isn’t “ready” to use yet. That’s why they recommend using both your old property and GA4 for now.

Thanks for the feedback @cannibal6, I am more disappointed with GA, to be honest; the way the internet works nowadays they should have made it so much easier to track conversions across all CMS platforms. Hopefully, there is a solution in the new year. Best of luck.
