    Hi drusilla_lain,

Technically, no, a responsive theme shouldn’t interfere with the plugin or vice-versa. We have used it on responsive sites and so have other community members.

The plugin really shouldn’t affect presentation that much because it doesn’t have native styles; it should just inherit the styles of your theme (or you may need to tweak it a bit, depending on your CSS).

    Questions:

    1. Is your sidebar just not showing up on the front end?
    2. When you check the box to add a page-specific sidebar, are you going to the Widgets area and dropping something in that sidebar?

I don’t have access to that theme at the moment, so can’t test it directly.

    Thanks!

I’m also using a responsive theme, and the sidebar is not showing up on the front end. I have info in the widgets area and pages designated with a custom sidebar.

    Hi Eric,

    To answer your questions:
    1) I have an existing default sidebar that appears on most pages. Customize sidebar was only meant for one of the pages in the website.

    2) After checking the page that needs the customize sidebar, i went on to widgets to add the necessary links. I tried both ways which is adding and not replacing as well as replacing the entire side bar, both did not work.

My apologise because i will not be doing any more testing, my client wanted it asap. So i had replaced with another plugin.

    Thanks Eric for responding though.

    Cheers!

    Hi drusilla_lain,

For future reference, I’m pretty sure we needed to set the ID of your sidebar. The plugin tries to get it right, but it doesn’t always. In these cases, you can set the ID in the plugin settings and that should handle it.

    Hi Eric,

When you mention set ID meaning using editor?

I will look into that if I get another chance to try it out ??

    Thanks!

What plugin worked that you replaced it with?
