Does this rename plugin rename all versions of image?

yes: Phenix Media Rename regenerates every registered thumbnail, but there can be other plugins that uses custom size thumbnails, not registered using the standard technique, in this case come thumbnail could not be renamed.

If you are using other image related plugins, you can do this kind of test:
– upload an image
– create a new page
– mount the uploaded image in the new page, using the image size you need to test
– rename image
– chech if the page has been updated, if you are familiar with HTML language you can see the filenames of all the thumnails
