Does this prevent spam before it enters the database?

    Hello,

    I am comparing several anti spam plugins and I am wondering of Antispam Bee prevents spam before it even enters the database or if it only marks comments as spam once it enters the database.

    Hi @liddika

    the default is that ASB marks comments as spam. This is useful because spam comes in waves and as we are no SaaS you can use the local spam list as source to detect new spam. But you can set up ASB to delete spam immediately for certain reasons (for example if the honeypot is the reason). And you can delete spam after a certain amount of time automatically to save space.
