    Hi there,

I wonder if this plugin works, or I misunderstand how it works.

I added the plugin to WP and activated it to disable all the options.

However, when I run GTMetrix (or Pingdom tools), I still see that admin-ajax.php?… has more than 1 second waiting time. This is almost the same behavior as without the plugin.

Hereafter is what I can see as Response Header in GTMatrix:

So, can someone guide me about this?

Admin-ajax.php will still fire on initial page load, but won’t utilize the heartbeat for subsequent requests on the page.

What this plugin does is allow you to control the automated requests to admin-ajax.php (usually every 15 seconds or so) after the page is already loaded. It won’t impact admin-ajax.php being loaded initially.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the information.

Sorry that I keep making questions. How can I know whether the plugin is working fine or as expected after the initial page load?

    Regards,

    AJ
