I just read about this and the article I was reading sent me here to check out Mammoth and how to get it. This article tells about one issue with the conversion and how to get around it. I made some dummy code containing some of the errors and used Notepad ++ and the article’s solution to see if the solution worked and it did for me. That indicates that if Mammoth does its job and only outputs this one kind of error in the code, the errors can very easily be cleaned up and you have a nice article to load into a WordPress blog. Here is the link to the article: https://kinsta.com/blog/google-docs-to-wordpress/#mammoth-docx-converter-plugin
To use Notepad ++ I used the find and replace function with the code loaded. I had to change the ‘Search Mode’ from ‘Normal’ to ‘Regular expression’ for it to work. It did work very nicely for me. Once the errors are gone, you just copy the cleaned up code back to WordPress and load it in. Just follow the steps in the article.
