Thanks for asking. Yes it does protect it. In the plugin documentation we say, “It will now also automatically protect most forms on your WordPress site from automated spam, even if they are not listed here.” Unfortunately we can’t list every single form that WP-SpamShield protects, because it protects almost every single one! ??
We will add more form plugins to the list though!
You don’t need to do anything special to activate this form protection. Just install WP-SpamShield and add your forms to your site. They will be automatically protected. If you don’t want these forms protected, just turn off miscellaneous form protection in the WPSS settings.
Now, just a caveat, there may be one or two form plugins out there that it may conflict with, but as soon as it gets reported to us, we will fix that. So far it works with every major contact form plugin out there.
We do know of one quirk right now, and this will be bridged in the next version of WP-SpamShield. If you use Fast Secure Contact Form with WP-SpamShield, in your Fast Secure Contact Form settings -> Advanced tab -> Advanced Form Settings -> Make sure “Enable to prevent double click on submit button.” is not checked.
If you do happen to have any issues, all you need to do is disable miscellaneous form protection in the WP-SpamShield settings, and send us a support request, and we’ll take care of the issue within a day.
