Does this plugin uses CRON or not?

I need to know if this plugin requires CRON to work correctly.
My WordPress site is on openshift and CRON needs to be installed as an option. If CRON is not required for the plugin then I will not install CRON as this will consume resources.
Since your plugin has a scheduler function I would expect CRON to be needed, but it is not clear if indeed is used.
