Hi, thnx for this great plugin, solved my insecure content immediately; fab!

    Just a question.
My page contained mixed content: the images were not loaded through https (but http instead). Installing and activating this plugin solved my problem. Can I now deactivate the plugin, or should it remain active? I mean: did it really fix the cause, or is it executing a kind of workaround every time the page is loaded?

    Thnx!
    Marc

    G’day Marc,

The plugin does not change any of the underlying content, it changes the page output on the fly (i.e. each time the page is loaded). So no, you cannot just deactivate the plugin now.

If you are running the plugin with the Content level, then you can use a search-and-replace tool to really fix your content. You can perhaps deactivate this plugin after that.

It all depends on what caused the mixed content warnings. This plugin fixes things for you quickly, so that you can diagnose and repair at leisure ??

    cheers,
    Ross

    Ah, talking to Australia!

Have some good memories; traveled through New Zealand and Australia for a year in 1998/1999 and met my wife over there ??

Thnx for the quick and clear reply! The mixed content warnings were about images only (thought only 1 image). So I’d probably search and replace them. Any idea how to do that? Is there a plugin for that? Or is there another way to definitely fix it?

I’m no geek, as you can read ??

    Cheers mate!

    G’day Marc,

    You have wonderful taste ??

My preferred tool is wp-cli, which does it all from the command line:

    https://wp-cli.org/commands/search-replace/

However, that’s probably a little too geek. There are some plugins that let you do it properly, but I don’t have experience with any. Perhaps look at the reviews on some of these ones:

    cheers,
