Does this plugin override data in MailChimp?

    Hello,

    I’m looking to implement the woocommerce mailchimp plugin but I’ve been told this could override the data in our mailchimp account when synched? How can I prevent this if at all? I would like the data to add to Mailchimp but I don’t want it to override any details.

    Hi @vickypp, thanks for reaching out. The plugin is designed to merge information from your store with the Audience connected in Mailchimp. In particular, it will update customers, orders, and products.

    If you’ve manually updated the information in Mailchimp, it could technically overwrite things I guess, but it would be using the most up to date information found in the store. FYI, if you’ve set up any custom merge tags, it would not impact those whatsoever.

    Yes I think we were more concerned with our unique tags etc.
