Does this plugin definitely die away?

    It looks like the WP closed this plugin, for a security bug, and although there is an update, the review is pending for weeks. And supposed update can not be installed anyhow, even asgaros website does not provide the update file. Not to mention that the asgaros forum is clogged by spam for months.

    So, is this plugin obsolete? I see the answers that it is not, but that just does not fit reality. And it would be a pity, as it is very nice. I hope the author(s) will find some form to keep it alive, and I don’t mind paying to get it managed over time, but leaving it as is now is untenable anymore.

    I fixed already the security issues due to which the plugin got temporary removed. Unfortunately it didnt pass a code-review for code-areas which were fine during the previous review. This means bigger parts of the forum require a complete refactoring of its logic which will take a while.

    It is great if you could keep this plugin alive. In the meantime, how do we update to version 2.2.0 to ensure our sites are safe for now?

    Thanks. But since now we can not update this plugin via the admin panel, for us who can not even remember when we manually updated some plugin, can you please provide some guidance on how we do this? I assume we have to overwrite the old files with new ones by FTP. And then…?

    Installing 2,2 is easy, just download in zip format, copy the zip to your plugin directory, unzip it, then disable 2.1 and activate 2.2 from plugin administration.

    Toolbox from Dominik does not work with 2.2. I have written do Dominik. Any hint to make it work? (I am a developper, so you can give me technical information).

    You support forum is fully spammed.

    Is it a specific function or are there errors activating one of the plugins?

    PLugin can be activated.

    For all Toolbox options: Asgaros Forum need to be installed to use this extension

    Hi Thierry,

    I’ve just updated Asgaros Forum to 2.2 and works without any problems. Can you please check the name of the directory you installed Asgaros Forum in /wp-content/plugins/ to be ‘asgaros-forum’

    I guess you just left the version number from the Zip File as part of the name.

    Do you plan to clean up your support forum and ban spammers?

    If you make me Moderator of your forum, I will be happy to do the cleaning

    I also have made a small development to have nice smileys inserted in the post just clicking on them. Layout is adaptative on mobiles.
