When I started a site, I had chosen to not use the typical folder structure (by year and month) and have all images at the root. I realize now this was a big mistake because the site has grown more than I’d anticipated.

Will this plugin actually move all of those images to new folders or does it just create shortcuts?

Yes, the plugin moves the actual files. Since the free version attempts to loads all the images in a folder which might be too much for your browser to handle, you might consider getting the pro version which allows you to turn on pagination for viewing files in a folder.

I’m happy to purchase the pro version to reign in the madness I’ve created. Could I use it to reorganize things, then disable the plugin when I’m done?

    Yes, you can.

To piggy back on this chain and to clarify: the plugin creates the folders on the server, moves the actual image files to the folder AND corrects the image URL on the page/post/product page? I just want to be sure there are not a slew of missing images on the site. Thank you!
