Through ManageWP Worker, I received a warning that wpDataTables <3.4.2 has security issues. We are running this Lite version, wpDataTables – Tables & Table Charts v2.1.14. Does it have any of the same security issues as the Premium version (<3.4.2) or have they been taken care of?

    Thanks!

    Hi outofnowhere,

Thank you for your interest in wpDataTables.

No, it doesn’t have. Those issues were only in the premium version.
You can read more about this here.

    Best regards.

Thank you. That is good to know. This is the recommendation ManageWP has given:

It seems this plugin has no distinction between the free and premium versions in their database (wpscan.com), You already sent a support request on www.remarpro.com to see if this also affected the free version, but if the vulnerability only affects the premium version, you may want to let them know the free version is falsely reported as vulnerable.

    Thanks for the feedback!

The full version is not hosted on wp.org, that’s why there’s no distinction between the versions. The slug is the same (wpdatatables), so all versions are treated the same.

You can rest assured that the vulnerability is not present in the plugin anymore, and that it never was present in the Lite version of the plugin.

    Best regards!
