I understand that srcset tells the browser which version of the image to load based on the viewport. But do I have to generate those images first? Or does this Plugin + srcset do that for me? If not, do you have a recommended solution?

    Thank you!

    Hi Spencer!
The plugin uses the different image sizes that WordPress generates, like thumbnail, medium and large. It will also pick up any custom image sizes that you might have.

    Thank you for the reply.

That’s really smart! I love it. So the proper process would be create custom thumbnail dimensions registered with WordPress for the various screen sizes, then run something like the Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin to ensure all of my existing media library items generate those dimensions, and then install your Plugin and it will choose from those accordingly?

    Thank you!

Yup, that’s how it works! ?? You can also select which image sizes you want RWP to use under the RWP Settings page.
