  • I would try a more classic/distintive single header/banner.
It’s too distracting to have to banner/items in the header.
In my opinion, a reader does not have the correct point of focus, due to this fact.

By the way, what plug in do you use to include the youtube movies?

Phuusk, it normally is just one thing in the header. I just wanted to promote the contest for now. The box on the left will be taken down next week. I’ll be sure not to put something there for promotion again though. ??

Youtube gives you the code to embed their videos on your site (or wherever).

Viper007Bond, yeah I’m no XHTML guy at all. I only know enough CSS and XHTML and such to get me into trouble. Rest assured I’m working on fixing that though.

I’m with Viper on the validation.
I’d also limit the number of posts appearing on your index page so that they typically don’t go much below the two sidebars in length. You can change this in Options -> Reading. Try setting it to 3.

The “GOOD: Concert” Thing pushes your banner off center… why not put it, in all it’s beautifully aqua splendor, above the google ads, and make the ads blend in more to where they are?

I’m familiar with the theme you modded to get to this point, and while I’d like to say you’ve done a decent job of not flubbing up the theme, fixing those validation errors are the only thing standing in the way of that.
