Does the plugin intervene with the htaccess file ?

    Hello,
    I have a recurring problem with my website because of an error in the htaccess file. At the end, the closing </IfModule> section renerated by WordPress is repeated twice, leaving the file with an unmatched </IfModule>.
    I’m trying to find if this is due to a plugin rewrinting the file.
    So my question is: does the plugin, in the process of backups or something else, do something with the htaccess file ?
