    Hello, right now i’m dealing with to many copies of 1 image. WordPress generate to many different resolutions.

    Check picture for one image – https://prnt.sc/22ljt0d

    And i’ve wonder if this plugin generate image of itself and if it’s important to have it?

    I have plugin that disable all those generate resolutions, but i’m not sure which are okay to disable and i’ve notice that this plugin have generate resolution too.

    Check picture – https://prnt.sc/22lk07c

    Are those generate resolutions from this plugin and should i enable them?

    It generates a thumbnail image to be used also for album cover and slideshow film thumbnail.

    It also generates a ‘display’ image, to be used for single image and slideshow display.
    You can disable the ‘display’ image, in which case the original upload resolution is used.

    The original upload images – source files – are stored, but you can switch that off.

    So, normally you have 3 files per photo, but you can do it with only 2 at the cost of the loss of some minor features.

    You can and should disable saving the sourcefiles and configure the downsizeing for display image on this plugins settings page.

    Hi, can you check if those are the things i need to uncheck? – https://prnt.sc/22qi01w

    Yes, unchecking these boxes will cause the sourcefiles not to be saved

    Isn’t that going to broke the download button? Because i want people to be able to download the original image, and once i switch that off, they won’t be able, right ?

    First: You run a pre-version 8 version. Pls update to the current release version 8.0.08.008.

    If you do NOT downsize during upload, the original (source) files will be used (copied) as ‘display’ files.

    If you do NOT save the sourcefiles, the display file will be used for the download, so: not keeping the sourcefiles and not dowsizing during upload will cause the original files to be used for download.

    In this situation you will have only the original imagefile and the thumbnail.
    I use this situation on sites with very many photos (actually > 200k), to keep the server costs reasonable.

    In version 8 settings page you will find the save sourcefiles swith in:
    Advanced settings -> Files -> I -> Item 1: Keep source files
    There is no longer a distiction between front- and backend uploads.

    In version 8 settings page you will find the resize setting in:
    Basic settings -> Photos -> I -> Item 1: Resize during upload

    The problem is that i’ve translated alot of parts of the plugin searching among the files. I really hate doing that again. But i will do it.

    First you can see that alot of those thumbnails are different resolution size? Is that normal? How can we make them all the same?

    Alot of changes we have done with you, i think everything is reset. For example check this too – https://prnt.sc/22ul29j

    THe count of the views is half eaten by the other picture. I’m sure we fixed this before. And i don’t know if we can all images here with same view resolution, no so different.

    The original aspect is kept during downsizing.
    If you want the thumbnails all the same aspect ratio, select the size you want in Basic Settings -> Thumbnails -> I -> Item 3.
    You can either padd or clip to the aspect you want, the images will not be misformed by stretching or compression.
    You can select the background color in case of padding in Basic Settings -> Thumbnails -> I -> Item 4.

    After selecting you need to remake all thumbnails by running Advanced settings -> Maintenance -> I -> Item 4

    THe count of the views is half eaten by the other picture.

    Increase the thumbnail frame height in Basic settings -> Thumbnails -> I -> Item 7
