Does the plugin disable generated /embed pages

    What is the scope of this plugin? Does it affect the editor’s embed functionality? or are those two different set of unrelated features?

    It’s pretty much all explained in the plugin description.

    Basically, the plugin disables these /embed/ pages for your site (so others cannot embed your posts), and it also prevents you from embedding posts from other WordPress sites.

    You can still embed YouTube videos or similar.

    Thanks, WordPress really doesn’t make some features easier to make sense of.
