I agree with others that Otter stands out by trying to mitigate the worst qualities of the Block Editor instead of just trying to add more blocks. It’s a challenging task since the Block Editor’s UI/UX qualities are pretty awful.
Most real page builders (but not core Gutenberg) have the concept of a row as a basic unit. Otter adds a “Section” block that serves that purpose. You can add columns to sections, and of course you can add content inside the columns.
Even better, Otter gives you more options for formatting your rows, column, and blocks. So while you still have to know too much CSS to get the kind of look your design calls for, at least you don’t have to break out a development stack. Instead Otter lets you add a CSS “element” to the Block’s sidebar and add your customization there.
