Does STCR still import from Comment Reply Notification?

    Previously, on STCR installation, I’d receive a message that it had imported subscriptions from Comment Reply Notification (by denishua). This didn’t happen today when I tried it on another install. Could you please advise? Thank you!

  • Hello Gretchen, as far as I remember that plugin was outdated and raising a lot of issues on the comment importing routine, this is why I removed the support for import the subscriptions from that plugin.

    That makes sense. But I still encounter a lot of sites using that plugin and needing to upgrade to a plugin like yours. I presume if I install an older version of STCR, it would perform the import?

    I don’t think that It will work, since I never change the importing routing. This problem raised after the WordPress version 4.8. I hope to get a lot of request to find a solution to this problem, since it will require to invest time to make it work.
