Does Relevanssi include the post_excerpt field for the relevance?

  • Inside the settings of Relevanssi I can define the Weights for the elements for calculating the relevance.

    But I miss the Excerpt there. Why can’t I define it? Does Relevanssi not care of it?

    On my website, each post has an excerpt, a summary of the entiered post content. So words here are more relevant, than words inside the content of the post. Does Relevanssi enclose this into the calculation of the relevance?

    Relevanssi indexes the excerpt if you check the “Index excerpts” option on the Indexing tab. There’s no way to adjust the excerpt weight at the moment.
