Does older version plugin work with wordpress 4.4.2?

I want to keep an older version of wp underground plugin (1.2.5.1) because it is much better. Will it work with the 4.4.2 version of wordpress? Is there a way anyone can test that. I do not want to update to latest version of that plugin and it is so that I would hold off on updating wp itself’s version if not sure the plugin will work with that wordpress version. Want to stay with wp underground version 1.2.5.1
