So I have tried a bunch of different configs but it just does not work… Maybe its cause I am using NGINX

There are no retina images being made and put in the s3 bucket and I lost thumbnails of all my images… Even if I disable the plugin and uninstall I can’t seem to get my images back… Bummer man… Well I have posted in here a bunch I will have to completely un-install and go into the database a delete some stuff ?? I will check back later and see if there is any updates… Plugin has a lot of promise ??

    Thanks again!

Yea so all my images are gone… ugh… installing the plugin was a big mistake… I don’t understand why it dose not work or generate any @2x images…

I just wish i could get everything back to how it was working before i installed this plugin with my S3 stuff…

    Thanks

The fact your images are gone have nothing to do at all with this plugin. It’s impossible, the plugin doesn’t modify/remove/move any images. It only creates new ones and load additional code for retina support. Your issue comes from somewhere else. The part where you go in the database to delete some stuff sounds really scary though…

The only way to come back as it was before is to Delete all retina image (the plugin can do that) then disable it. And voila.

no its not even making any retina images ?? I checked the S3 buckets and its just uploading the normal image…

the images shows up on the front end… its the back end in the media library… all the thumbnails are now gone and it is using the alt name and if you click on a image it shows the url and name pointing to the S3 bucket but now image is there… (normally you would see the full rez of your image there)

I did not delete anything in the database… I was just looking in there to see if there was any parameter that was causing the library not to display the images…

I will keep looking around… Thanks so much for your response and development…

yea it just so weird… I have the plugin completely removed now and if I upload an image it still goes through and completes the upload but then shows no thumbnail in the library or image in the if you click on it… even though it did add it to the S3 bucket… It was working perfectly before I installed this plugin ?? Sorry to say that…

But any idea why (when the plugin was installed) it is not making a @2k image too when a images is upload to the server… I would be so stoked if it just made a few optimized images uploaded them to my bucket and then displayed the correct images when a user visits my site…

    Thanks

There is no way your plugin is dropping this from the URL string? -us-west-2

I noticed that the URL attached to my images is s3.amazonaws.com/ bucket info

When the actual URL the image is at is s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com / bucket info

I mean i did not change the bucket or any images so either amazon updated the naming convention (which they say they did not but who knows)

or your plugin with the picture fill and javascript and other re-write methods for how to display the correct image is dropping that part from the URL somehow? I mean I sure that is unlikely…

So there in no data that gets written into the database from your plugin that could be causing this URL naming issue?

    Thanks so much!

This URL naming issue is not related to the plugin. However, you should check your .htaccess, there is a rewrite rule added in the case of one method and somehow if it failed or whatever happened, the wrong URL might be used for the images.
