Does not work with Gutenberg 4.1.1

    On WordPress 4.9.8 (German version) with Plugin Gutenberg 4.1.1:
    a) Classic Editor: works
    b) Gutenberg Ramp: works
    c) Disable Gutenberg: disable nothing
    (and yes, I have a + b deactivated before activating c)
    In the all pages/posts view I can select Classic Editor, which works.
    But “edit this page/post” or normal click on page/post in the list leads to Gutenberg.
    (Have tried a lot of changes in “Disable Gutenberg” options after “default” does not work, but I’m unable to disable Gutenberg 4.1.1 with this plugin.)

    Hi burnuser,

    It sounds like there is some conflict somewhere. My best recommendation is to set up a test WP install, leave everything at defaults, install only Disable Gutenberg, and retest. Then after verifying that everything works normally, you can use the test WP site to help troubleshoot your current setup.

    Scratch that. I can confirm that Disable Gutenberg is not working with WP 4.9.8 running latest Gutenberg plugin. Investigating now.. will report back with news asap.

    Just to follow up, I’m on to the new changes in Gutenberg plugin. Will need some time but should have a new working version before the end of the week.

    Reminder: Disable Gutenberg is not needed in WP 4.9.8 to disable Gutenberg and restore the Classic Editor; you can simply deactivate Gutenberg plugin.

    Just FYI: New version of Disable Gutenberg (1.4) now supports latest Gutenberg plugin, as well as merged Gutenberg (aka Block Editor) in WP 5 and beyond. Please upgrade asap and let me know if any further questions or issues. Thank you for your feedback, burnuser.
