    Hi Chris,

That’s actually an issue with PhotoSwipe library itself and not the WordPress plugin. One solution is to disable the animation all together. Do you think this would be better?

After I posted here I figured the problem was with the original script so I posted the issue, which you’ve linked to.

I know you want to keep this as light as possible but a few options would really be sweet. One would be to allow user to set background color and opacity, another to limit the plugin to only mobile devices, last would be the option to kill the zoom-in animation so cropped thumbnails wouldn’t be distorted.

Currently I’ve hired someone to do some of these tweaks for my purposes, but I think these additions would really increase usability and downloads.

Also adding NextGEN/NextCellent compatibility would be awesome.

So, I’ve been following along on github. Is Dimity being stubborn or helpful, I can’t tell. LOL. I saw the jsbin and FancyBox seems to have no issue with animation from a cropped thumbnail. Hmm.

So what do you think? Any luck with your implementation of a fix?

I think he is not convinced that it looks better. But as he said he’ll see it when it’s done and merge it.

FancyBox take a totally different approach. It preloads the image and then display it. PhotoSwipe on the other hand shows the image and then it starts loading.

Hopefully I will have a patch by next week.
