I just installed nexgen gallery and did all the things needed to upload images etc..
Went to the sample page on a new site and clicked on the nexgen icon to insert the item into the page and the window that pops up says that there is a database error and it can not get the page. I also had installed ckeditor to replace the generic editor supplied by wordpress. So I deactivated the ckeditor and now the nexgen gallery works. Does anyone know how to work around this since ckeditor is a better editor than the generic…or another editor that DOES work with nexgen and is just as good as ckeditor.

@[email protected] – I can confirm the “CKEditor for WordPress” does indeed serious break NextGEN Gallery … have you reported this to that Plugin Author as well? They may already have a work-around or be preparing a new release of their plugin that addresses this issue.

I will be noting it for our developers as well but I also cannot provide any sort of time-line for when this will be addressed.

@cais – FWIW, that plugin hasn’t been updated in a year and from what I’ve seen, has major problems…

Hey the Ultimate-tinymce works just great….will start using it for all my sites. It actually is has more features and certainly lets nextgen gallery work as it should.
