Does Not Work with Advanced Google Merchant Acct (Multi Website Sub accounts)

  • If you have a Google Merchant Center account with multiple websites in it, sub-accounts, this plugin does not work. It makes you connect your email for your Google Account, then only provides an option to create a new single account, even though we already have everything set up as a sub-account under a parent account.

    It should just let you connect the parent account, then select which sub-account you want to use, just like every Google Analytics plugin has, but it doesn’t have it.

    When will this be supported? This is useless for us otherwise.

    Indeed, Google Listings & Ads currently doesn’t support multi-client accounts and we have this information in our documentation. We currently do not have an ETA for supporting multi-client accounts.

    I’d like to clarify that a multi-client account isn’t the only account type that supports multiple websites. Regular accounts support creating and linking different websites – so a business or individual looking to connect multiple websites they own would go for a regular standalone account. The key difference is that multi-client accounts are designed for agencies managing separate Google Merchant Center Account for their clients – with a multiclient account what you have are different subaccounts under one parent account as you rightly put.
