Does not work. What am I missing?

I got it.
A couple of things that I wasn’t aware of.
First new photos need to be added. They need to be associated with the page you are using. I was trying to use existing photo in the media library. Maybe there is a way to do it but I don’t know.
Second is that after you add them to the page you need to delete them. Strange. If you don’t you have the slide show and the pictures you imported.

Yes, from what I know you must upload the images to the post or page. You can’t pull them from the media library. But, you can pull them from another post or page, but you must specify the post id/include or exclude in the shortcode.

I REALLY witsh there were a wasy to get images by id independent of the post they are uploaded too. Even better, by taxonomy.. my wish list.

I’ve reinserted the images in the gallery. Then also slideshow is not working… ??

if you add images to your slideshow from the media library,

try inserting the regular wp gallery shortcode first.

[gallery ids="1916,1917,1912,1911"]

then use the same id’s like this

[portfolio_slideshow ids="1916,1917,1912,1911"]

Or, if you uploaded images to the page or post where you want the slideshow:

just use:

[portfolio_slideshow]
