• Hi there,

Just installed and tested the plugin in all ways we could think of, but when adding a new member, the member is not added to the mailchimp list created for this. Everything we have done is correct. Nothing happens. What we do see in Mailchimp is an indiction that something is not being communicated correctly through a call.

Please advice, as automatically adding members this way would save us a lot of time!

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi you can check the following instructions which worked for me on my test environment.

Can you also enable Debug mode and check the log file.

If the above does not help you, you will have to get in contact with MailChimp support staff. I suspect something else is blocking the communication between your website and MailChimp as per your comment.

    Hi,

Thanks for responding. I will check out your suggestion, thanks.

I am sure it’s not Mailchimp or our side, as we do have several plugins running just fine with Mailchimp already. Mailchimp produces this error: (211) List_InvalidOption. This indicates that somehow the listname is not being communicated properly.

When you read my instructions you will notice that I made a note to make sure the list is active. So if you are having issues with that particular list can you create a test list. Make sure it is enabled and carry out another test.

Yup, the list is active. Don’t see how it cannot be actually. As soon as it is created in Mailchimp it becomes active by default and subscribers can be added through Mailchimp or API.

Just checked with debugging on. Two lines are produced, both about mails being sent out regarding the new member, which is correct. Nothing else unfortuately.

Anyway, we have just now started adding all new members manually to this list, bummer this doesn’t work for some reason.

Thanks for helping in any case!

Hi in regards to your comment.

The above confirms my suspicion that something else is causing your issue. You will have to get in contact with MailChimp support staff.

I think you read it differently ?? I meant that we have started to add all members manually, because adding them through the plugin doesn’t work. Adding them manually is not the problem ??

Also, I’ve been working extensively with Mailchimp for years and I assure you I know how it works ??

Just tried adding to another existing list that is used by another plugin, but the same thing, just doesn’t work with this plugin.

I just tried adding to that same list through another plugin that we also use to add subscribers. That worked like a charm. So I can safely conclude that it has to be the plugin itself. API key and list are both working fine.

Hi sorry for misunderstanding you ??

Thank you for reporting back with all your tests. Are you running WordPress 4.3 in your website?

If you are then this could be a conflict or an issue with WordPress 4.3. The developers will investigate further.

Once again thank you for reporting this issue.

No problem, thanks for thinking with me ??

Yup, latest WP version 4.3. With this version some functions are depreciated, so yes, that might be it.

    Thanks for looking into it!

I have tested the addon with the latest version of everything and it works fine. There is definitely no issue in this addon.

Actually I’m having the same issue with new registrations not being added to a mailchimp list since upgrading to the latest form builder release. Do you think there may be an issue with this?
