    I installed this on a network/multisite and network activated it. It was the recommended plugin to be used when another, for multisite subsite user registration, was also present. However, while the plugin reports sending the test email, the test email never arrives. Neither do user registration emails.

    I have checked spam filters etc. It doesn’t matter where I send it.

    1. I am using the TSL option with an email address that was configured in cPanel. The email address itself works fine; I have sent test emails from its webmail and they arrive.
    2. This makes me conclude it’s the plugin that’s not working.

  • Hi @dolunaykiz,

    I apologize for the late response. The plugin should work fine with multisite too. If the test email was sent successfully, the receiving server has accepted the message, but not delivered. This can be the issue with receiving server. Could you please change the receiver’s address and try to send a test email once? Also, make sure the From Name from the user registration email matches the one set in your SMTP settings. You could use the email logging plugin if the user registration email failed.

    In case it helps, you can define same SMTP settings for all subsites in your config.php like:

    define('WPMS_ON', true);
    define('WPMS_MAIL_FROM', '[email protected]');

    For the list of all constants that you can open the file wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/wp_mail_smtp.php and see at the top of this file.

    I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you are still having issues following the description above with more details on the email providers and SMTP settings you’re using?

    Thanks!

    Hi @dolunaykiz – We haven’t heard from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
