The plug-in works fine in a post or page, but in full site editing it does not work to hide elements such as in the header or footer.

Can you fix this issue, I need it to avoid using templates. I would be grateful for the correction of this error.

    Hi @sergioacuario,

I apologize for the issues that you are having. Can you let me know which visibility conditions you are using? All conditions except for the Screen Size control should work as expected. There are some current limitations for the Screen Size control that we are exploring alternatives for.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    Nick

    Good morning,

I was just following up to see if you would be able to tell me which visibility conditions you are using? We can then diagnose from there.

    Best,

I was referring to the new version of WordPress 5.9, with a compatible template like the one that comes by default, in the complete edition of the site it gives you the possibility to modify the template without the need to install themes, the problem is that the plugin does not work ” Block Visibility”, for example I wanted to hide the menu in PC mode and it doesn’t work.
I have no problem when editing a post or a single page, but in the new version of WordPress 5.9 in “editor”.

    I show a screenshot: https://ciencias-basicas.com/wp-content/uploads/Captura-de-pantalla-2022-02-20-231620.png.

That would be all and I hope the error is understood.

    Hi @sergioacuario,

Block Visibility does work with the Site Editor, but there are some limitations with the Screen Size control. I believe this is the control you are using to conditionally display a Navigation menu block. If this is incorrect, just let me know.

The Block Visibility documentation covers the limitations and provides a workaround with a video walkthrough. Take a peek at the video and let me know if I can answer any additional questions.

In the editor I have activated it to be hidden from the PC: https://ciencias-basicas.com/wp-content/uploads/12.png

But it does not work, the menu is still visible: https://ciencias-basicas.com/wp-content/uploads/13.png

I correct myself, I thought the error was only in the site editor, I see that the menu and other widgets (the new WordPress5.9 widgets) are not hidden on an individual page or post also when activating Hide on desktop” for example.

But it does work fine on other old widgets. I think the problem is the new widgets and not the full site editor.

    Hi @sergioacuario,

Yup, that is expected behavior. There are some limitations with the Screen Size control. The Block Visibility documentation covers the limitations and provides a workaround with a video walkthrough.

In short, you need to place the Navigation block inside of a Group block, and then add the visibility settings to the Group block instead. If you click on the link above to the documentation, there is a video walkthrough that explains this in more detail.

    Hope that helps!

That was very strategic, thanks for the suggestion, it hadn’t occurred to me before, I’ll apply it, thanks for the help.
