I am using legacy widget and no matter what I do it is not displayed on the site. It simply is not even in the source code of the page. Ajax widget does not show messages from telegram either. But at least it is displayed on the page.
My Bot works, I checked it many times.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,
If you want to display a channel, you should use Ajax Widget. For groups you should use Legacy Widget. There are a few things to keep in mind about Legacy Widget:

    1. It does not display old messages. Send something new into the group/channel and wait for 5 minutes.
    2. For groups, you should disable privacy of your bot via BotFather to let the bot receive all the group messages. Send /setprivacy to Botfather
    3. If you want to instantly check the new messages, open the URL given on Legacy settings page. It’s recommended to set up a cron as mentioned there.

Thanks for the answer. I understand and know everything you wrote about. Does not work! Tried it on another domain, same result. I need to display posts from an open group. URL given on Legacy settings page gives “Done :)” on empty page.

    Sorry the issue.
Have you added group user name in the Channel Username field?

If no, then please add it there.
If yes, then please send the group and website link to our support on Telegram (@WPTelegramSupport) to have a close look at the issue.
