Does not work anymore with WP 4.0 and Fidelity theme

  • Hello,
    I have been using this plugin with WP 3.9.2 and Fidelity theme 1.4.
    I’m trying to update to WP 4.0 and a new version of the theme (1.5).
    As soon as I activate the plugin it breaks completely the portfolio categories (custom categories that can be filtered for display in porfolio pages). Any idea what the problem is?
    I have also informed the developer of the theme.

    I cannot provide a link to the website because I test it in a local development environment.
