Dear Avi, I wanted to thank you for the response and for the ideas you suggested for making my mobile menu working again. Spoiler: Meanwhile it works again! I have checked your first suggestion and enabled/disabled the wp_footer hook checkbox in the backend of the plugin which made no difference. Afterwards I switched off/deactiving plugin after plugin an activated them step by step again which had no effect as well. Only that the burgermenu on my mobile showed up again but when I clicked it no menu opened. At the end there was an update for one of my three caching plugins available and after having chosen the update manually the mobile menu was working again! The plugin concerned is WP Optimize.
Now, in the backend of WordPress in my dashbord there is an offer for updating to the latest version of the plugin Responsive Menu: Version 4.3.5 is currently installed, they offer me version 4.4.0. There is a saying: Never change a running system – can you recommend to do the update nevertheless?
Thank you for reaching out and sharing further details with us.
We are glad to hear that your menu is working now. Regarding your question about updating to the new version, you have the flexibility to either update or hold off for now. There are no known issues with the current update 4.4.0, so proceeding with it should not cause any major problems. Alternatively, you might consider testing the update on a staging site first to ensure everything runs smoothly.
However, we want to inform you that we are planning to release more features in our next big update in the future. If you prefer, you can skip the current update and wait for the new release.
