Did not work “out of the box” at first so to speak.

I needed to set the file permissions for WP-Content to writable for the MU-Plugin part of plug-in organizer to work.

I was originally getting an error:

“There was an issue moving the MU component”

This was not clear enough for me to know what to do. But with a little support I eventually got it working correctly.

This is a wonderful must-have plugin as you do not want or need all your plugins loading on every single page or post on your website. Not only from a load time perspective but also from a usability perspective (like not wanting your social share buttons on your contact or privacy policy page).

If you had opened a support ticket I could have given you help. By static page do you mean a page that is not processed through wordpress? If so then no this wont work because it was not intended to do that. Do you have the plugin setup correctly? Did you put the mu-plugin file in the mu-plugins folder? Did you check the enable box on the settings page? Can you disable plugins on other pages?
